Breast Augmentation

Beautiful cleavage. Every woman desires one. With modern breast implants almost every woman can have this desire fulfilled. After 20 years in practice and over 2500 happy patients, Dr. Shektman is widely considered an expert in the art of breast augmentation. If your breast size or shape is causing you to loose your self confidence, you owe it to yourself to explore what breast augmentation with saline or silicone implants can do to return that confidence to you. As many women who have had the procedure done over the years can attest, breast augmentation helped them move through life with a newfound sense of self assuredness and poise.

Breast Lift

Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing and gravity take their toll on a woman's breasts. As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag, but they do not have to stay that way. A breast lift can go a long way towards restoring the youthful breast contours women want. If fullness is also an issue, breast implants can be considered along with the lift.

Some patients, especially those with relatively small breasts and minimal sagging, may be candidates for modified procedures requiring less extensive incisions.

Breast Reduction

Women with very large, pendulous breasts may experience a variety of medical problems caused by the excessive weight-from back and neck pain and skin irritation to skeletal deformities and breathing problems. Bra straps may leave indentations in their shoulders. And unusually large breasts can make a woman-or a teenage girl-feel extremely self-conscious.

Breast reduction, technically known as reduction mammaplasty, is designed for such women. The procedure removes fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. It can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. The goal is to give the woman smaller, better-shaped breasts in proportion with the rest of her body.
